Terms
Last updated: October 2026
The short version
- One fixed price, agreed in writing before you pay. No monthly fees and no VAT to add.
- Half up front to start, the other half before your site goes live.
- Live within 7 days of us having your deposit and your content. If we're late, it's half price.
- Your deposit books your slot, so it isn't refundable if you cancel.
- Once you've paid in full, the website and the domain are yours.
These terms cover the websites and apps we build for you, and your use of this website. We've kept them short and in plain English. By paying your deposit, you agree to them, so if anything's unclear, ask us first.
Who we are
Hunters Studio builds websites and apps for UK businesses. When we say "we" or "us", we mean Hunters Studio. "You" means the person or business ordering from us. You can reach us on 07412 161618 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) or at contact@huntersstudio.co.uk.
Packages and prices
- Our website packages are Starter (£295), Business (£495) and Pro (£895). What each one includes is listed on our prices section.
- Before you pay anything, we'll confirm your package, price and anything extra by email. Once confirmed, your price is fixed.
- All prices are one-off. We're not VAT registered, so there's no VAT to add. If that changes in future, it won't change a price we've already agreed with you.
- The prices on this website can change, but the price confirmed for your project always stands.
Paying
- You pay half the price as a deposit to book your slot and start the work.
- You pay the other half once you've seen and approved your site, before it goes live. We publish it as soon as the balance has been paid.
- You can pay by any of the methods shown on your invoice.
The 7-day guarantee
- Your website will be live within 7 days. The 7 days start once we have your deposit and your content: your words, photos and logo, or your go-ahead for us to write and source them.
- The clock pauses while we're waiting on you, for example for feedback, approval or access to an existing domain or website.
- It doesn't cover delays caused by other companies that are outside our control, such as your old provider releasing a domain.
- If we miss the 7 days for a reason that's down to us, you get your website for half price. Your deposit covers it, and there's no balance to pay.
- Apps aren't covered by the 7-day guarantee. Each app gets its own timeline, agreed in writing.
Your content
- You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use the words, photos and logos you send us, and that what they say is accurate.
- Any photos we source for you are licensed for use on your website.
- We can refuse to publish anything we reasonably believe is unlawful, misleading or offensive.
Changes
- We'll show you your site before it goes live and make reasonable changes until you're happy with it, within the package you chose.
- Business and Pro sites get 30 days of free changes after going live. That covers small edits like text, photos, prices and opening hours, not new pages or new features.
- After that, small changes are a fixed price each, and we'll always tell you the price before we start. There's also an optional monthly care plan if you'd rather not think about it.
- Adding pages or features beyond your package is extra. We'll quote first and only go ahead if you agree.
Who owns what
- Once you've paid in full, the website is yours, and the domain is registered in your name.
- We keep the right to reuse our own general know-how, tools and code on other projects, but never your content or branding.
- We may show your website in our portfolio and on our social media, including Instagram. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us.
Your domain and hosting
- Your domain is included for the first year. After that it renews at cost, about £12 a year, which you pay. We'll remind you before it's due.
- Hosting stays free for normal small-business use. If your site ever needs much more than that, for example very heavy traffic or large file storage, we'll talk to you before anything changes.
- If you ever want to move your site somewhere else, we'll help you move it.
- Some features rely on other companies, such as domain registrars, hosting providers, Google and payment providers like Stripe. Their own terms apply, and any fees they charge you, such as card fees on online payments, are paid to them directly.
Cancelling
- Your deposit books your slot and we start work straight away, so once it's paid, it isn't refundable if you cancel.
- If you cancel before your site goes live, there's no balance to pay.
- If you're buying as a consumer rather than for a business, the law also gives you 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Because the 7 days means we start straight away, we'll ask you to confirm that you want us to begin within those 14 days. If you then cancel, you'll pay for the work done up to that point and we'll refund anything you've paid above that. Once your site is finished and live, the right to cancel ends.
- If we haven't heard from you for 60 days after you pay your deposit, we may close your project. We'll always get in touch before we do.
Our responsibility to you
- We build every site with reasonable care and skill. If something we built doesn't work as agreed, tell us and we'll fix it free of charge.
- We set your site up to be found on Google, but no one can promise search rankings or a set number of enquiries or sales, so we don't.
- We're not responsible for problems caused by other companies' services going down, or by changes someone else makes to your site.
- If you're a business customer, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us, and we're not liable for lost profits, lost business or other indirect losses.
- If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Apps
- Every app gets a fixed price and timeline in writing before any work starts. Payment terms are agreed in that quote.
- Apple's and Google's own yearly developer fees are paid by you, direct to them.
- Apple and Google decide when an app is approved for their stores, so we can't guarantee their approval dates. We'll do everything we can to get it through first time.
Using this website
- The words, design and images on huntersstudio.co.uk belong to Hunters Studio or are used with permission. Please don't copy them without asking.
- We work hard to keep this website accurate, but if anything here differs from what we've confirmed to you in writing, the written confirmation wins.
- How we handle your details is explained in our privacy notice.
If something's not right
Call or email us and we'll put it right. We usually reply within 2 working days.
The legal bits
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you paid your deposit applies to your project.
